What’s up jabronis, my name is Alex and I’ll be your yarn purveyor for however long you decide to peruse my goods.
I’m based out of Austin, TX and dye this stuff myself out of my kitchen. Each piece is unique - no two are exactly the same, which makes it special!
My whole thing is I hate scratchy stuff, so everything here is going to be stupid soft. Funny thing with that - super soft and shiny also means kinda hard to dye and VERY picky about how it’s washed, so for the love of god, don’t put this in your washing machine. You’ll be SO SAD.
Oh right, I’m supposed to tell you more about me or the shop or something…um, well, let’s see. I decided to start doing this when my kid talked me into raising silk worms, stating I could make yarn from it and spin it. So I did. And it was fun! But YIKES it was a lot of work. But I learned to spin yarn - which you’ll see some of it listed on occasion - and more importantly, I learned to dye it!
It became a bit of a hyperfocus of mine (what’s up fellow neurospicy ADHD friends!), so I decided…why not sell it?
And here we are!
